For potters ready to move past the basics. Each week your instructor demos a new technique, with direction shaped in part by what the group wants to explore.
Over the course, you'll work toward skills like:
Throwing larger
Building lidded vessels
Altering thrown forms
Throwing off the hump
Refining trimming and glazing
Because this is a progressive series, make-up classes are not available for missed weeks.
Included:
All firings and studio glazes are included. Clay is not provided and can be purchased at Pip or other retailer—Mid-fire only.
Age & Ability
This class is for students 14+ who have Beginning Wheel Throwing or equivalent experience.
Before you book...
Cancellations: We don't allow cancellations or refunds for any of our classes, courses, open studio sessions or workshops.
Rescheduling: You can reschedule your class free of charge up to 18 hours before class start time by clicking the "Reschedule" button in your confirmation or reminder email. Please note: we can not accommodate rescheduling within 18 hours of class—for any reason including COVID-19. We're a small studio and are unable to fill those spots on such short notice. Thanks for your understanding.
Picking up your work: Remember to pick up your pieces at the studio where you made them. We'll fire and glaze your piece/s and send you an email when they're ready to pick up—3 to 4 weeks after your class date—so please check your spam folder! (We'll hold on to them for a total of 7 weeks from your class date, but will need to throw them out after that for lack of space). Just ask one of our baristas or studio techs at Phoenix and Chandler to grab them for you when your come in to pick them up! PLEASE NOTE: if you book multiple spots, yours will be the only email we have that we will send out reminders to with information concerning the class, rescheduling, picking up pots, etc. Please pass on all info your receive from us to others in your party.
