FAQ/Contact
-
Can I cancel?Cancellations: We don't allow cancellations or refunds for any of our classes, courses, open studio sessions or workshops.
-
Can I reschedule?YOU CAN RESCHEDULE your class free of charge up to 18 hours before class start time by clicking the "Reschedule" button in your confirmation email. Please pay attention to the rescheduling instructions in the email since rescheduling multiple people is especially tricky. The software is a pain, we know, we’re sorry. YOU CAN'T RESCHEDULE within 18 hours of class—for any reason. We get it, life happens. We're a small studio and are unable to fill those spots on such short notice. We ask that you find someone to take your spot and that they reimburse you personally (concert ticket style). Thanks for your understanding.

Where TF do I park?!?!We know...our parking lot is super small! If there is no more parking in our lot, please park one street south of us on Yale. There is normally plenty of street parking. Please don’t park in front of the trash enclosure or the shipping container.

Do you allow firearms or weapons at Pip?No. We do not allow firearms and weapons at PIP.

How long are the classes? All classes are 2.5 hours long. There will be a short demo at the beginning of class, and the last 20-30 minutes of class will be clean up. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to class to get checked in with the barista.
-
How advanced do I need to be to take the Advanced Beginners class?ABC is a great way to build your skills once you are comfortable with the basic steps of throwing. You can expect a focus on throwing in every class, but some weeks will also cover topics like glazing and trimming. When are you ready? If the thought of sitting through another beginner’s class demo sounds like it would have you yawning, It's probably time! You don’t have to be a master of the basic skills, just familiar enough to not need instruction from the ground up. Some people are ready to move on to ABC after one beginner’s class, some people feel more comfortable moving up after a few. It’s really up to you!
-
What should I wear/bring to class?Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty or stained! We have aprons for your use (we also have great Pip aprons for sale in the coffee shop). Maybe cut your nails—long nails and wheel throwing don't mix!
-
When will my pieces be ready?Pieces are ready to pick up three weeks after your class date. An automated email will go out after 3 weeks, but sometimes they go straight to you junk folder. So please feel free to come in after 3 weeks and pick up.
-
How long will you keep my pieces? We will hold onto pieces for 6 weeks past the class date. After that, pieces will be donated or thrown away (and then they cry, so please come get them!!).
-

Tools for community use are also included, but feel free to bring your own! That said, we are not set up to be a studio for production potters.
