FAQ

  • YOU CAN RESCHEDULE your class free of charge up to 18 hours before class start time by clicking the "Reschedule" button in your confirmation email. Please pay attention to the rescheduling instructions in the email since rescheduling multiple people is especially tricky. The software is a pain, we know, we’re sorry.

    YOU CAN'T RESCHEDULE within 18 hours of class—for any reason. We get it, life happens. We're a small business and are unable to fill those spots on such short notice. We ask that you find someone to take your spot and that they reimburse you personally (concert ticket style). Thanks for your understanding.

    Cancellations: We don't allow cancellations or refunds for any of our classes, courses, open studio sessions or workshops.

  • Most classes are 2.5 hours long unless otherwise noted. There will be a short demo at the beginning of class, and the last 20-30 minutes of class will be clean up. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to class to get checked in.

  • If you’re taking a clay class…

    • Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty or stained! We have aprons for your use (we also have great Pip aprons for sale in the coffee shop).

    • Leave watches and jewelry at home. They have a tendency to get left behind in apron pockets.

    • Maybe cut your nails—long nails and wheel throwing don't mix!

  • An email will go out to you when your piece is ready to pick up. This is typically 3-4 weeks after your class. Please check your junk mail in case your mail app thinks it is spam. Pick up your piece at the location where you made it.

    We will hold onto your piece for 6 weeks past the class date. After that, pieces will be donated or thrown away (and then they cry, so please come pick up!!).

  • Culdesac is a retail and apartment community located in Tempe on Apache blvd near the 101. We do not have a cafe at the Culdesac location, but we share a wall with Aruma coffee! The address is 2011 E Apache Blvd Suite 147, Tempe, AZ 85281

  • 24th Street/Phoenix - We know...our parking lot is super small! If there is no more parking in our lot, please park one street south of us on Yale. There is normally plenty of street parking. The pet resort next door occasionally tows, so avoid their lot.

    Please don’t park in front of the trash enclosure or the shipping container.


    Culdesac/Tempe - There is a parking lot at Culdesac. There is an overflow, gravel parking lot on the east side of the development reachable from Wildermuth. There is also parking along Apache Blvd, Wildermuth Ave, Martin Ln and River Dr.

    Erie St/Chandler - We have a parking lot.

  • No. We do not allow firearms and weapons at PIP.

  • We don’t have a dedicated customer service team at Pip—everyone just pitches in! If you need to get in touch or have questions (about most things) you can text us at 480-616-0004. You’ll find most of your questions answered via our text tree, but if not, we promise we’ll respond same day if you text during business hours and next day if after hours.
