Open Studio

Open Studio gives students freedom and time for independent practice. These are un-guided, 3-hour sessions that require a sign up. There will be a Pip person around to answer questions, but not to teach, so if you're a beginner, we ask that you first take one of our classes. Also...

  • Glazing and trimming must be done during an open studio session

  • Label and date all work in progress

  • Work in progress can be stored for 1 week on the shelves in the kiln room. After one week, we will recycle your pieces.

  • Please be cleaned up and ready to leave at the 3-hour mark

Before you book...

Cancellations: We don't allow cancellations or refunds for any of our classes, courses, open studio sessions or workshops.

Rescheduling: You can reschedule your class/session up to 24 hours ahead of time, free of charge, by clicking the button in your confirmation email. We can accommodate rescheduling within 24 hours with a $15 rebooking fee. Please note that this applies to both Covid-related and non-Covid reschedules. We're a new, small studio trying to make it work in a pandemic. Thanks for your understanding.

Picking up your work: Class pieces will be stored for a 6 weeks from your class date. Open studio pieces will be stored for a month from bisque/glazing date. After a month, unattended pots will go to the pottery gods (or the lizard rescue, or Valle de Sol).
